BIM Show Live & BIM Awards 2020

After BIM Show Live’s continued success in the North East from 2017, BeaconHouse Events were asked again to manage and deliver the event. BIM Show Live is one of the most trusted information-sharing platforms for Building Information Modelling (BIM).  The event was a hugely popular, with almost 400 national and international delegates and a popular BIM Inspiration Day held for classes from across the North East. The event featured keynotes, panels and interactive seminar sessions and a bustling Exhibition Hall to keep delegates engaged across two days. Including an awards ceremony with ‘geordie’ vegan sausage rolls, this was the BIM event not to miss. The conference theme was ‘BIM for Good’ and we took on the challenge and worked with the venue and suppliers on eco-friendly options. Meetings where possible were conducted online, vegetarian and vegan food sourced locally, and no delegate programmes were printed. Delegates and speakers were asked to bring their own re-usable cups and bottles for their caffeine and hydration hits.

“The BeaconHouse Events team can literally take any brief, and make the magic happen! I trust these girls with all my BIM Show Live events now for the international digital construction crowd.”
Rob Charlton, Space Group

The Planet Mark Awards

We worked alongside The Planet Mark team to arrange the inaugural The Planet Mark Awards in London. Services provided included guest booking and management, sponsorship relationship management, budget management and cost control.Together with management of the judging process, script writing and production, production of staging and AV, venue management and liaison and venue dressing. The event delivered was an entertaining social evening with networking opportunities and a chance for companies to recognise their sustainable commitments and join the momentum of The Planet Mark.

”We could not envisage working with a stronger team who can accomplish as much as yourselves. There is an air of calmness in all of your work that comes from great experience and know how but for us, it’s more than that, it’s the way that we like to work ourselves.  Nothing is too much trouble and everything is accomplished with speed, grace and a smile. You guys have sorted everything and we love working with you.”
Steve Malkin, CEO Planet First and Founder of The Planet Mark

Along with inspirational stories, delicious lunch and emotional award celebrations, this is one special event.

“The Chronicle Sunshine Fund has successfully worked with BeaconHouse for over two years. We continue to be impressed with their responsiveness and the professional approach they take to managing our events from conception right through to post appeal analysis and feedback. Their ability to understand and support us with the entire event strategy is exceptional.”

Sarah Johnson, The Chronicle Sunshine Fund

DigitalAgenda Impact Awards

We worked with our client to devise and deliver a new national awards scheme celebrating UK tech for good in 2017, and were asked to deliver the awards again in 2018. With a jury bringing exceptional and extensive experience across startups, investment, charities, policy and impact technology ensure the ways in which technology is contributing innovative solutions to social challenges are showcased.

“I have worked with BeaconHouse Events since 2016 on business events for DigitalAgenda. These have included our regular networking dinners for 30 in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Newcastle and also our annual showcase Impact Awards event for 300 at London’s Barbican Centre, in March 2017. That event was particularly challenging as we devised and ran it from scratch with limited budget and time, and stakeholders to please. Sarah and Catherine and the team are consummate professionals in their events trade. They are extremely thorough, spotting the devil in the detail and always thinking ahead. That’s massively reassuring as a client. Their pre-event planning is meticulous, whether that be working to budget or running guest lists. On the day they are unflappable and always can-do. They’re very much part of the home team – and are also lovely, pleasant and fun people to work with. They totally get it and I’d have no hesitation recommending them to others.”

Julian Blake, Editor, DigitalAgenda
