“The thought of organizing #CyberFest kept me  up at night! I simply could not have put on six events in one month without BeaconHouse Events. They made it look so easy, took all my stress away and allowed me to focus on bringing great content to a receptive audience. I recommend them highly and am certain we’ll be working together on #CyberFest next year!” Phil Jackman, Dynamo

Business Reception

We delivered invite management, event planning and onsite staffing for a DCMS hosted reception hosted in celebration of the Great Exhibition of the North, post the Cabinet Meeting at SageGateshead. The lunchtime featured speeches from Great Exhibition of the North Chair, Sir Gary Verity; Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, Jeremy Wright and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Phillip Hammond, followed by delicious bowl food for guests.

“I just wanted to say a huge thanks for all your amazing help and support in delivering this event. You were very patient and excellent in dealing with all the last minute requests!”

Business Summit

The Northern Powerhouse Business Summit, took place in the Boiler Shop, it was the central experience for businesses during the Great Exhibition of the North. With an outstanding line up of speakers, workshops and showcases, businesses were inspired by stories of innovation from across industry.

Speakers included Mark Carney Governor of the Bank of England; Sugata Mitra, Professor of Educational Technology at Newcastle University; Collette Roche, COO of Manchester United; Sarah Weir, CEO of the Design Council; Elaine Warburton, CEO QuantuMDx; and Pam Warhurst, founder of Incredible Edible.

We teamed up with iconic Northern designer, Wayne Hemingway, with his multi-disciplinary creative agency HemingwayDesign, to manage the technical delivery and production of the event, featuring innovative exhibition stands, a lounge area, an interactive conversation wall and some much admired foliage from Bels Flowers.

“The Beaconhouse team effortlessly delivered the Northern Powerhouse Business Summit as part of the Great Exhibition of the North, they were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. As part of a large delivery team Beaconhouse met the demands of multiple stakeholders and added genuine value to a complex, high profile event. They stuck to a challenging timeframe and kept on schedule. The 3 day event passed with zero hitches and our delegates commented on the slick delivery and attention to detail. In particular I valued their flexibility and responsiveness under pressure – and the whole team’s ability to remain calm and approachable throughout!”

Laura Partridge, Great Exhibition of the North

True Potential

We were asked to deliver a high impact, technologically impressive and meaningful event at our client, True Potential’s head office in Newburn. All as a backdrop to welcome the Rt Hon Matt Hancock MP, the Secretary of State for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport. We transformed the office space into a presentation area google would have been proud of* (*in our opinion)! With over 200 True Potential staff in attendance, guests were left empowered post-event with a renewed sense of belonging and pride to celebrate their organisation.

NE Futures UTC

We work with UTC across the North East, managing student recruitment events from venue sourcing, attendee registration, speaker and exhibitor liaison and management to on-site delivery.  In addition we organised industry partner events in preparation for the new school opening September 2018, culminating in an official launch January 2019.

The Planet Mark™

We worked alongside The Planet Mark™ team to arrange an invitation only event, held in central London shining a spotlight on how businesses can engage with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. BeaconHouse Events helped co-ordinate the event through the set up, venue finding, planning process, speaker liaison, guest management and sponsorship sales right through to the onsite delivery for over 150 guests representing UK and international organisations.

Our thanks go to BeaconHouse Events for so expertly, diligently and delicately handling every stage and aspect to make our event such a success. I am sure it will be the first of many. We thank you. You made our life so easy and represented The Planet Mark perfectly.

Cocktails & Views

Northumberland we welcomed an international audience to Blyth Workspace to enjoy the spectacular sights from the fantastic 180 degree views of the Tall Ships 2016. We transformed the already very impressive space to create a truly celebratory experience whilst attendees watched the ships sail into the Port of Blyth. Working with some of our favourite suppliers, JC Events, El Roboto, bels flowers, Coco Luminaire, Boldon Farmhouse Pantry, Zest Mixology the everyday workspace became a themed venue and the perfect backdrop for the invitation only ‘Cocktails & Views’ event. The VIP audience were able to choose from sipping smouldering cocktails prepared by our flare bartenders in our ‘Room with a View’, or sample the local seafood selection in our seaside haven whilst helping themselves to a gin tipple and enjoying live music. We helped to show off the fantastic workspaces available by signposting guests with giant helium balloons and creating unique culinary surprises in each nook and cranny. This was a fantastic opportunity to really show our creative flare whilst providing a practical solution to show off the venue and cultural offerings of the Tall Ships in Blyth.

“…a MASSIVE thank you, the event was amazing and the feedback we got from everyone was unreal. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. Nothing was a problem and you all delivered such a great experience for us. I will of course be recommending to you to everyone I know – I wouldn’t trust anyone else to do my event – you guys are the best!”

Alexandra Wiley, Marketing and Communications Manager, Arch: The Northumberland Development Company

The Big Bang Fair

Hosted at Northumbria University, we worked with Dynamo North East to create an exciting area consisting of six exhibitors in the hope to create a Big Bang! Spread over two days and open to primary and secondary school children, the fair was a positive way in which children could broaden their interests and exhibitors could increase their profile. The exhibitors incorporated fun with learning by offering opportunities for the children to interact with many types of technology ranging from visual simulators to build-your-own robots. The event had an excellent turn out and resulted in the children feeling highly enthused and motivated. Each Dynamo exhibitor experienced a high level of interest and ended the day feeling extremely positive; although almost certainly in need of some downtime after engaging with the super excited children for two days! Dynamo North East are already looking forward to the next Big Bang Fair.

Anglo Scottish Maxxia Event

The client tasked us with delivering an engaging sales event for Anglo Scottish and Maxxia sales staff and agents to get together and learn more about what tools are available to generate more income, new business and find out about new products since the acquisition. We worked with the Managing Director and Marketing Manager to create an engaging brand and event proposal that would appeal to staff. After an afternoon of staff presentations and an evening of drinks and dinner all sales staff and agents gave fantastic feedback and we’re hoping to continue developing the event into an annual fixture for the team.

“The feedback we received from our first sales conference was incredible. This was all made possible from the team at BeaconHouse Events. Slick, professional, calm and collected removing the stress of organising such an event. We will most certainly be working with them again in the future. Cannot thank them enough and thoroughly recommend”.

David Foster, Managing Director, Anglo Scottish Asset Finance Ltd

UCD Conference

The User Centred Design Conference is annual event based in London for design leaders, thinkers and practitioners from all disciplines. Over the past three years the UCD conference has earned a reputation as the industry’s alternative hangout. Not too big, not too small, with a program that’s more TEDx than Ux, it’s an antidote to conventional conference fatigue. BeaconHouse Events help to co-ordinate the two day conference for 200 delegates to come together to swap stories and hear about how design is disrupting, transforming and improving our world and the lives of the people in it.

I have more thanks than words can cover for all your efforts.

Karl Smith, UCD UK Co-Director

Thank you to you all at BeaconHouse Events. You really helped us get it right and got the vibe! Please come back and help us again.
