Purpose-led networking is a strategic approach to building professional connections that share a long-term vision, have a desire to learn from each other, and are open to authentically sharing learning.
At BeaconHouse Events, we don’t believe in short-term gains or transactional connections; we want to share intentional, collaborative moments that create connections that last. That’s why this March we’re launching the Business with Impact Dinner in Newcastle, in collaboration with wellbeing and sustainability consultancy Venture Zero and sponsored by accountancy firm BluSky. The event aims to bring together like-minded North East businesses to create positive change for people, the planet, and wider society. Taking place at Newcastle’s first food surplus-focused cafe, Magic Hat, on Thursday, 27 March, we’re inviting business leaders to share ideas and tackle the big issues facing organisations in the coming years. Guests will be offered the chance to deliver a five-minute lightning talk during the event on their chosen topic related to either community, the environment, or health and well-being. Carbon will be tracked and offset for the event, and 10% of proceeds from the evening will be donated to Project Bind, the North East non-profit dedicated to creating positive and permanent solutions to the UK’s food waste problem.
The North East is a gold mine of events that exist to benefit our region and our global communities, and we want to celebrate and share just some of the events that are making good things happen…

People Potential Opportunity by the North East Combined Authority
In January 2025 we worked with the North East Combined Authority to bring together the North East business community for an inspiring and motivational event themed around people, potential, and opportunity. The event gave the opportunity to inspire, share, and communicate the possibilities for growth where businesses adopt good work best practices and to encourage businesses to take action and think about how changes and improvements could be good for their business and good for the future of our region and its people. Events like this are a fantastic mechanism to start conversations, share knowledge, and tackle real issues that our region is facing, and we are already seeing the impact of making space for authentic, meaningful conversation.
